BYOK Instructions

To use BWS X Bot FREE EDITION, you must bring your X Token using the /set_x_token command.

The X Developer Basic plan (free) is good enough to start using X Bot. You can monitor and search for 100 posts monthly, so we recommend starting by filtering and getting reports for specific accounts (for example, adding a filter to monitor your KOLs only).

Here are some instructions on how to get your free token from X.

Step 1. Sign up at https://developer.x.com/

Create a new X developer account (if you don't have one).

You may be required to enter a description of your project. You can use the following template text or create your own.

"We intend to use the X API to monitor engagement with our official X account to understand better and support our community. Specifically, we will search for public mentions of our account and related hashtags to identify and highlight active community members. This data will create a leaderboard and offer non-monetary incentives (such as recognition or access to exclusive content) that encourage positive, meaningful interactions with our posts. X’s policies will handle all data, and we will not collect or use any personal or private user information beyond what is publicly available via the API."

Step 2. Get your free plan application token.

Once signed in, go to your free 1-application project and get your Bearer Token. Copy this token value and use it when calling the /set_x_tokencommand.

Step 3. Call /set_x_token in the telegram group where you installed X Bot.

Once you have your X API token, go to the Telegram group where you installed the X bot, call /set_x_token command, and follow the instructions.
